It’s critical that every player in the food chain do their part to assure safe handling.

At RDW, our warehouses are all third party audited to assure safe handling practices and our Crazy Fresh facility has adopted a scientific approach to food safety.

  • Managers are all HACCP trained with a program accredited through the International HACCP Alliance.

  • Our Crazy Fresh facility is Safe, Quality Foods (SQF) Certified. SQF is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized safety standard.

  • Samples are submitted for testing by accredited laboratories.

  • We conduct ATP swab testing daily as part of our pre-operational inspection to verify the efficacy of our sanitation process.

  • Our internal product lot coding system allows full product traceability down to the individual package level for processed items, and to the case level for all whole produce. This gives our food safety team the ability to respond quickly to produce recall events initiated by the FDA or USDA.

  • We require our suppliers to meet our strict Food Safety requirements to become an Approved Supplier

  • We are always working to enhance our food-safety policies and procedures to reflect regulatory standards and meet consumer expectations.

  • Our Corporate Food Safety Compliance Auditor conducts internal Food Safety audits of our suppliers as well as manufacturing and warehouse facilities.

  • Our Microbiologist verifies the effectiveness of each of our manufacturing facilities as part of our operational and pre-operational inspection for Food Safety.
